How to prepare for CAT 2020?

CAT( Common Admission Test) is a computer based test held once a year for MBA admissions to  IIMs, FMS, MDI among others. IIM Indore is expected to conduct CAT 2020 on November 22 tentatively in 156 and more cities across India. The notification for the same will be released in the last week of July as per the reports. To achieve success in CAT 2020, you need to start right away.  A perfect preparation plan for the CAT exam should include overall strategy, number of hours of study, best books and study material, quantity and quality of mock tests and sample papers as well as tricks and shortcuts of solving CAT questions with 100 percent accuracy in least time.

CAT Preparation: Section Wise Strategy

Follow these key tips on how to prepare for CAT 2020 section-wise:

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: 

  1. Reading as much as possible is the best way to crack this section and score good marks.
  2. Go through newspapers, journals, blogs, articles, etc to enhance your reading skills.

For Quantitative Ability:

  1. Focus on enhancing your basics of mathematics.
  2. Learn topics like profit and loss, number system, geometry as they will form key questions in CAT 2020.
  3. Practice as much as you can and go for mock tests.

For Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation:

  1. Check the previous year question papers of CAT and try to re-attempt those questions.
  2. Study basic topics like seating arrangements, blood relations, syllogisms, etc to grip hands on this section.
